Where Collins stands

Economy and affordability
Argues that President Trump's tax cuts, deregulation and energy policies will lower prices, bring manufacturing back to the U.S., expand domestic energy production and reduce permitting requirements. Says Biden-era spending helped drive inflation.
Taxes
Voted for the 2025 tax-and-spending law, which extended the 2017 tax cuts and added tax breaks on tips, overtime and for older Americans. He has made that vote a central part of his campaign.
Healthcare
Says he wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act and supports more price transparency and expanded health savings accounts. Describes the 2025 law's Medicaid changes as an effort to root out fraud and abuse, and highlights its $50 billion rural health fund.
Immigration
Supports President Trump's mass deportation campaign and has made immigration enforcement a central issue. Argues that illegal immigration puts pressure on housing and public services.
Housing and regulation
Says he would reduce housing costs by cutting federal regulations on builders and opposing costly environmental requirements for construction. Introduced a House-passed bill he says would speed up building approvals and road and bridge projects.
Foreign policy
His campaign emphasizes an "America First" foreign policy.
