Where Whatley stands

Hurricane Helene recovery / FEMA
Says he worked with congressional leaders and the Trump administration to deliver more than $11 billion in Helene aid. As a former FEMA Review Council member, pledges to push reforms so relief reaches communities faster.
Cost of living / inflation
Proposes lowering taxes and making the Working Families Tax Cuts permanent, including the no-tax-on-Social-Security provisions, so families 'make more and keep more.' Blames Gov. Cooper's policies for higher energy, housing and health costs.
Energy, climate and data centers
Supports an 'all of the above' energy approach, including expanding refineries and domestic oil production so the U.S. does not depend on foreign oil. Says this would lower energy costs.
Immigration enforcement
Supports the Trump administration's border and enforcement actions and pledges to work on removing 'criminal illegal aliens' from North Carolina. He is endorsed by the National Border Patrol Council.

Proposes rolling back cashless bail, putting more police on the street with better pay, and creating a federal version of North Carolina's Iryna's Law, which limits pretrial release.
Military spending / health care
Defended the One Big Beautiful Bill, including its Medicaid changes. Says government should get 'out of the way' in favor of market-driven solutions on health care.
Abortion
Described himself as 'the most pro-life chair in the history of the Republican Party.' Backed North Carolina's 12-week abortion limit and opposed Gov. Cooper's veto of it.
Education
Supports the federal Education Freedom Tax Credit for private school scholarships and says education dollars should follow students to public, private, charter or home schools.
